Instead of Algeria sending Nigeria to Sambisa Forest, the Super Eagles turned the tables, sending the Algerian Team back to the Sahara Desert.

Nigeria has booked a place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, following an impressive 2–0 victory over Algeria in Saturday’s quarter-final showdown.

Eric Chelle’s men put on a commanding display, dominating possession and tempo for much of the first half, even though the breakthrough goal proved elusive. Nigeria came closest when Calvin Bassey’s effort was dramatically cleared off the line.

The pressure finally paid off in the second half.

Victor Osimhen rose highest to head home Bruno Onyemaechi’s cross, opening the scoring and igniting celebrations among Nigerian fans. Moments later, Osimhen turned provider setting up Akor Adams, who calmly doubled Nigeria’s advantage.

The three-time African champions now turn their attention to a mouth-watering semi-final clash against host nation Morocco, with a place in the AFCON final firmly on the line.

For the Super Eagles, the journey continues; focused, fearless, and flying high.
